Varmaland Campsite

The camp site at Varmaland is a perfect choice for families and groups seeking spacious and comfortable accommodations. The area boasts a playground and opportunities for hiking in the scenic surroundings. Located just off road 50 (Borgarfjarðarbraut) by the Baula shop, the campsite is easily accessible from Highway 1. After turning onto Varmalandsvegur, it's a short 2.5 km drive to Varmaland. Situated in the charming village of Varmaland, near the geothermal area of Stafholtstungur, the campsite is surrounded by natural beauty. The nearby sports center, open from late June to mid-August, features a swimming pool. With a large, spacious area and a playground, the campsite provides plenty of room for families and groups to enjoy. All necessary services can be found in the nearby town of Borgarnes. While the campsite primarily caters to families, larger groups should contact the caretaker beforehand. Please note that the age limit is 20 years, and reservations are required for groups larger than 15 units.
