Nestled in the picturesque town of Isafjordur in the Westfjords peninsula, the Tungudalur camping site stands as the main camping hub. With much effort and care invested into enhancing its natural beauty and services, the site is enveloped by lush trees that offer shelter during windy days. The site boasts two separate parts: one designated for mobile homes, folding campers, and caravans, and the other intended for tents. The magnificent Bunárfoss waterfall runs through the site, dividing it into two parts. The camping site has two service houses, the older one serving as the reception area and housing the toilets and shower. The newer service house, built in 2011, has a modern and comfortable space with facilities including toilets, showers, a toilet with a shower for the disabled, and a washing area complete with a washing machine and tumble dryer. It also features a kitchen with cooking amenities such as a microwave, toaster, and tables and chairs. The site provides a playground area for children to enjoy, as well as free Wi-Fi. The campsite is operated by G.I. Halldórsson ehf.
