Borgarfjörður Eystri Campsite

Welcome to Tjaldsvæðið Borgarfirði Eystri, a beautiful campground located at the foot of the enchanting Álfaborg hill, where the realm of Queen Borghildur of the Hidden People lies. The campground offers a spacious field and two gravel lots, with 40 electrical hookups available. Across the road, you'll find the charming Álfacafé, a restaurant and café with a unique atmosphere. Just a short walk away, you can also find two more restaurants, a supermarket, and a fun bouncing mattress. The campground is also adjacent to a 9-hole disc golf course, perfect for some outdoor fun. Borgarfjörður Eystri is the gateway to the legendary Víknaslóðir wilderness, which has over 160 kilometers of marked hiking trails, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts. For mountain biking enthusiasts, there are already available trails, with more in development. The facilities include two service buildings, one with a reception area, communal space with a small library and board games, a kitchen, and a laundry room. The other service building features toilets and two coin-operated showers. We also offer cooking facilities, hot and cold water, waste disposal for mobile homes, a washing machine, and wheelchair accessibility. Dogs are also allowed on grounds. Our campground is open during the summer months, and the reception is available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery and relaxing atmosphere at Tjaldsvæðið Borgarfirði Eystri.
