CJA Campsite, Laugar

Nestled within the private-owned farm Hjalli, CJA campsite offers a unique camping experience in Laugar. Farm-owners are dedicated to reforesting Iceland, and as a result, you'll see a growing forest around the campsite. The birdlife is rich, and the local staff is well-versed in the region and Iceland as a whole. The campsite offers a range of services, including walking paths, a playground, toilets, cooking facilities, electricity, and showers. Open all year round. In the service house, you'll find toilets and showers in heated rooms, while our kitchen and dishwashing room is unheated. We encourage all guests to recycle their garbage, and waste disposal is available. You can also find information on activities nearby, as well as opening times for stores and swimming pools, on our information board. To reach the campsite, turn from highway 1 onto road 846 in the village of Laugar. After crossing the bridge, turn right and then right again in the middle of the slope (south) onto an unmarked gravel road. Drive to the end, which is about 2 km away, following the camping signs on light-posts along the way. You can also find a sign/map by the Sport center/swimming pool in Laugar.
