Located in a new and beautiful location by the riverside of Litla Laxá, the Flúðir campsite opened in 2009 and has been a popular destination for Icelandic and foreign tourists alike. Known for its great weather and abundant activities, Flúðir is conveniently located only about 100 km from the capital area.

The campsite offers a wide range of services, including electricity, dogs allowed, horse rental, internet, walking paths, restaurant, waste disposal for mobile homes, swimming pool, fishing, hot tub, cold water, cooking facilities, and more. The area is also home to a golf course and many activities for families to enjoy. Facilities include several service buildings with toilets and showers, a washing machine and tumble dryer, a small store selling camp-related products, information brochures, wireless internet, a big outdoor barbecue, a playground, and more. Running water and electricity are available throughout most of the campsite. In the village center, just a short walking distance away, visitors will find a grocery store, restaurants, a bar, a swimming pool, and a sports area. Families will particularly enjoy playing in the river Litla Láxa, taking short and long walks, and participating in organized walks with a guide. In addition to the activities available in Flúðir, visitors can enjoy horse rentals, golf courses, river rafting, riverjet, the zoo Slakki in Laugarás, music concerts in Skálholt, and the popular Gullfoss and Geysir.

The campsite has some rules of conduct, including paying for the campsite and electricity upon arrival, no traffic from 23:00 until 9:00, and no public drunkenness. Guests should not spoil the nature, and children at the playground are the responsibility of the adults they are traveling with. There is a 23-year age limit, unless traveling with adults. The employees of the Camp Center at Flúðir are dedicated to serving visitors to the best of their ability. For any questions or requests, visitors can turn to the camp warden.
