Fossatún Campsite

Fossatún is a campsite located in the middle of Borgarfjörður, halfway between Borgarnes and Reykholt. The surrounding nature is exceptionally beautiful, with Grímsá river and Blundsvatn lake nearby, and the Borgarfjörður mountain range visible in the distance. The Troll Garden is a popular recreational area, with troll-themed walking paths and games for families. Fossatún offers various types of accommodation, including camping, sleeping bag accommodation, and hotel rooms, along with a restaurant, golf course, playground, swimming pool, showers, and toilets. The campsite has eight separate areas with sheltered pitches named after Icelandic bands.
