Reaching Thórsmörk offers various routes, each with its own charm:

  1. By 4x4: Traverse the F249 from Seljalandsfoss, a route that initially unfolds smoothly but becomes more technical near the Markarfljót's waters. A capable off-road vehicle is essential, given the river crossings, including the challenging Krossa.
  2. By Local Bus: Opt for the convenience of a local bus service to Thórsmörk.

This 4.2 km loop, with a modest elevation of around 300 meters, can be completed in under two hours, allowing hikers to combine it with additional trails for a full-day adventure.
