GET DIRECTIONS
Regarded by many as one of the most picturesque swimming pools in Iceland, Laugaskarð's pool spans an impressive 50 meters in length and 12 meters in width, holding the distinction of being the country's largest for an extended period. This flow-through pool is heated using natural geothermal steam, ensuring the water maintains its normal acidity and purity. Nestled in a sheltered position facing south, just north of the Varmá River, the pool complex offers various amenities, including a heated shallow sediment pool, a cold tub, a hydro massage hot tub, and a natural steam bath. Additionally, the pool house boasts a gym managed by the Hamrar sports club. Two beach volleyball courts can be found to the east of the pool area, completing the array of offerings at Laugaskarð.
