The Búðardalur campsite is nestled in a charming grove, offering a serene environment for campers. The abundance of trees provide shelter from strong winds, making it an ideal spot for tent camping. Services Available: Electricity, Horse rentals, Washing machine, Toilets, Playground, Restaurant, Cooking facilities, Showers. Located in the heart of the village and to the left when approaching from highway no. 60, the campsite boasts a newly built service house that features hot and cold running water, showers, and washing facilities. In addition, there are waste disposal areas and electricity hookups available. Nearby amenities include a convenience store, bank, restaurant, coffee house, sports area, football field, and playground. In the summer of 2020, a service house with cooking facilities was added to the area. Dalir is a family-friendly destination with a rich history steeped in Icelandic sagas such as Laxdæla, Sturlunga, and Eíríkssaga rauða. Visitors can explore farms, fish in the lakes, hike along scenic trails, observe birds, visit museums, and much more.
