FÁ LEIÐBEININGAR

Guðrúnarlaug in Dölum is a natural hot spring located around 20 kilometers from Búðardalur, situated in Laugar in Sælingsdalur. It is open year-round and free to access. According to the Laxdæla Saga, Guðrún Ósvífursdóttir is said to have spent a long time by a hot spring at the same location, and Sturlunga Saga mentions this bath, suggesting it was well-used.

It is believed that the original spring may have been destroyed in a landslide, but in 2009, a new hot spring was created nearby, presumed to be in the same location, and it was named Guðrúnarlaug. At that time, a changing facility was also added, allowing for clothing exchanges.
